PEOPLE aged 50 and over are being invited to get back into education in the Saltburn area with the setting up of a University of the Third Age (U3A.)
The association is now looking for members to join the world-wide U3A movement.
It encourages older people to take up, or to continue, educational, social and other interests in friendly and informal settings and is run for, and by, its members.
Initially the new group may have to meet as part of the Whitby Whalers U3A until enough interest is established in the Saltburn area.
Interested people are invited to a coffee morning and open meeting at Saltburn Community Centre next Thursday, at 10.30am. Entrance is 50p.
