JG Taxis League: Ushaw Moor Catholic Club dropped their first point in the overall table when they went down by the odd point at dominoes to the visiting Willington Cottles.

The home side moved two up with wins from Ken Ryans and Alan Kelly but Paul Trow and Brett Fleming levelled. In the decider Peter Fleming took Cottles to victory by beating Ray Milburn. This victory left Cottles at the top of the dominoes section, sharing the place with Hunwick Quarry.

Hunwick Quarry went down to their first defeat in the darts section when they went down by the odd point to the visiting Willington Black Horse Tavern. Jimmy Martin, John McCann and Mike Ashurst won for the visitors with Colin Lee and Davey Robson winning for the Quarry.

Crook King's Head came very close to winning their first match in the pool section but went down to the visiting Willington Brewer's Droop A in the deciding captain's game. The King's had two points each from Colin Cranston and Andrew Fleming with Paul Craskery adding one. The Brewer's levelled with points from Norman Sirrell senior, Alan Lee, Norman Sirrell junior, Jimmy Fleming and Bill Wragg. This took the game to the deciding captain's game where the Brewer's Billy Wragg took revenge for an earlier defeat by Colin Cranston.

Crook Belle Vue stretched their lead at the top of the darts section to ten points after they beat their hosts at Ferryhill by three points. Byers Green closed the gap on second placed, Cockton Hill, who were without a game, to just two points after they beat the visiting Tindale Crescent.

Newfield are six points clear in the dominoes section but have played an extra match to Byers Green and Cockton Hill, who are one point ahead of Ferryhill.

Ferryhill hold a commanding eight points lead at the top of the pool section after they whitewashed the visiting Crook Belle Vue. Cockton Hill remain in second place, despite not playing, a point ahead of Willington and the Prospect.

Four of the top five teams in the dominoes final table will contest the semi-finals of the Dominoes Team Knockout. The only top four finisher, Willington Market went out when they lost to Willington Burn, who shared the second place in the table. Willington Club A, who finished fifth, made the semi finals at the expense of Willington Cottles A.
