Durham Coast League: The match of the day is between champions Murton and leaders Silksworth - and with two points separating the pair the outcome is crucial to both teams.

"We are on a bit of a roll and I thought we played well in last weekend's double programme," said Silksworth captain David Tate.

"Not only did we defeat Bill Quay, who are third, but we also met the formidable target set by Dawdon.

"We are in good heart but it is never easy going to Murton and they are still unbeaten."

Definitely missing from the Wearsiders' line-up is Paul Bradford, while doubts surround the availability of Phil Smailes, Stephen Wright and Steve Hanson.

"With a little bit of luck the trio will be able to turn out but it is a matter of waiting until almost the last moment" said Tate.

Murton, with four wins and three draws from their first seven matches, enjoy the luxury of being able to field the same side which defeated Peterlee and Bill Quay last weekend.

Bill Quay are still in a challenging position ahead of their game at Ryhope.

A big boost is the return from injury of Chris Pleasants. He has rejuvenated the club since his close-season transfer from Felling and has twice this season taken seven wickets in a match.

Also named is Sab Dhillon, with Chris Little and Michael Orridge reverting to the seconds.

Ryhope, strongly fancied before the start of the season, have won only twice and they show just one alteration, with Kris Taylor taking over from the unavailable Phil Bennett.

Dawdon, who are experiencing their best season in years, meet Hylton, who will be playing at their Billy Hardy complex for only the second time this year. Hylton's Gary Rushworth takes over from hard-hitting batsman Gary Hewitt.

Seaham Park anticipate fielding a strong line up at home to Easington, who are unchanged, while Houghton go to Boldon CA with both sides too near the bottom for comfort.

Boldon, without a win, name the same side which played twice last weekend but Houghton are minus Lee Husband, who is getting married, Paul Elliott and Nick Rosti. Ian Johnson and Martin Cowie are included.

Castle Eden entertain Peterlee and while the visitors delay finalising their line-up, Castle Eden cannot call upon Allan Unsworth. His place is taken by William Burke.
