AN addict who burgled a family's home to pay off a drug debt was jailed for 15 months yesterday.
Mark Stead, 30, took property worth £4,000, including a car, from the house in Thornaby, Teesside.
Teesside Crown Court heard he had been threatened by his dealer, who he owed £600.
Stead, of Brotton Road, Thornaby, was jailed for 15 months after he pleaded guilty to the burglary, on July 12, last year, and theft.
