The two Byers Green Under-8s teams - Hays and Bees - held their annual presentation night on Saturday and this was a great event with fun and games for all the family.

The night is all about recognising the improvement and achievement that the players have made throughout the year and this year the most improved player award was impossible to decide and each player on both teams received a trophy.

David Mitchell from the Hays team and Mathew Ellison from the Bees both collected players player and parents player confirming how well they had performed throughout the season, a fantastic achievement by both players. Other individual honours on the Hays team went to Ryan Cummings for top scorer and opposition manager's man of the match and John Valks for manager's man of the match. For the Bees team Daniel Woodgate collected top scorer, Jack Deakin took managers man of the match, while Luke Watson collected opposition manager's man of the match.

The Under-14s held their presentation evening on Friday, June 11 and were delighted that Mark Tinkler of Hartlepool United FC was there to present the awards along with local scouts Peter Cook and Joe Dunningham.

After a credible fourth place finish in the Russell Foster Premier League the squad all picked up a trophy. Individual honours on the night went to James Towers, John Hardy, Callum Proudlock and Robert Wilson. A terrific night was had by all and special thanks to parents and players for there continued support on Friday and throughout the season.
