A RESIDENTS association has launched a membership drive.
Old Thornaby Residents Association (OTRA) is looking for people in the town's Victoria ward to join them.
It holds its annual meeting on Monday, July 5, at 7pm in St Andrew's Mission, Mansfield Avenue, when newcomers will be welcome.
Residents will be able to vote for a committee and find out what the group has achieved in the area.
The group has been involved in getting play equipment installed in the Victoria Recreation Ground, traffic calming in Langley Avenue and Imperial Avenue, alley gates installed in Mansfield Avenue and Cambridge Close and a memorial garden to Fred Close, who was a member of the association.
