A TEAM of students has come up with a winning design to encourage young people to recycle their rubbish.
The first year National Diploma graphics students at Darlington College of Technology used the art of graffiti in designing their litter poster.
Featuring a contemporary version of the Cuban revolutionary Che Guevara, the images will soon adorn litter bins around the college, thanks to the creative minds of Leanne Pearson, 20, Christian Kotze, 20, and Laura Green, 17.
Leanne said: "We tried to do something that would appeal to young people using bright colours and a strong image, the green representing the environment."
College student activities manager Diane Muckle said: "We challenged the students to come up with a corporate image for litter and decided to link with the council because we weren't doing enough recycling."
