A BADMINTON club in Hartlepool is celebrating after receiving £2,560 from the Awards For All Lottery fund.
Set up two years ago, Brierton Community Sports Centre Badminton Club has about 60 members and is run by qualified coaches Tony Evans and his wife Kath.
It meets on Thursday and Sunday evenings during the September to March badminton season, and runs coaching sessions on Sundays for younger members.
The money will help pay for club members to train as coaches to Badminton Association of England standard.
