Andy Gaskarth ran a personnel best at the Tynedale 10k on Wednesday, July 7. Andy was one of seven runners from the Aycliffe club taking part in the race on a very fast course and in ideal running conditions.
Gaskarth ran a great race to finish in 36.12 but he wasn't the first Aycliffe runner home, that went to prolific racer Peter Milburn who finished in 35.46. Another top performer Michael O'Sullivan next home in 38.02 other finishers on an excellent night for the Aycliffe Club were Brent Morfoot 40.52, John Burnside 41.47, Tony Brewer 42.37, Sue Milburn 42.40.
At the Windy Gyle nine mile fell race in Northumberland on Sunday, June 27 Carl Mustill and Peter Milburn represented the club, Carl finished in 6th place in 63.00 while Peter not far behind finished in tenth place in 66.24.
Richard Harvey was on track at the North East Vets Championships at Jarrow, Richard in his own words had a "nearly night" at the championships finishing second in the 0/60 400m /800m and 5k races a super effort from Richard.
