JG Taxis League

Two new teams, Crook Spitfire Club and Byers Green Club entered the league, accepting the fact that they had to make up a good number of matches. The Spitfire opened their programme with a home match against Willington Brewer's droop, who share the top spot in the darts section. The crook side went two up with wins from Eric Johnson and Ronnie Vitty but the Brewer's replied with wins from Ray Roberts, Ian Steel and Ian Stoker. This win left the Brewer's in equal top spot with Ushaw Moor Catholic Club, who failed to send in their card from their home match against Hunwick Quarry.

There were darts maximums from Micky lee of Willington Burn and Kenny Louth of Willington Cottles.

Byers Green Club entertained Willington Cottles, who lead the dominoes section by five points. The Green only managed to take one point through Paul Brownson whilst Wilf Sharp, Tommy McAloon, Gilly Spark and Phil Blyth took Cottles to victory.

Crook Spitfire showed they will be a force to be reckoned with in the pool section after they only dropped one point to the visiting Willington Brewer's Droop A, who had Ray Roberts as their only winner. The home side had two points from Geoff Walker, Ray Newton, Stuart Hall and Dave Lonsdale with Paul Futter adding one.
