VISUALLY impaired people are being given the chance to pass comment on the accessibility of books at libraries in Middlesbrough.

During Make a Noise in Libraries Week, starting on Monday, visually impaired and sighted people are being encouraged to visit libraries to find out what they have to offer and put forward any suggestions on how the service could be improved.

Staff will be on hand to show visually impaired people what is available, help them with reading choices and listen to comments and ideas.

A coffee morning will be held at 10.30am at Middlesbrough Central Library on Monday and at the Acklam branch on Tuesday where spoken word titles will be played during the morning.

Visitors with guide dogs will be welcomed.
