A MILL in the Yorkshire Dales will star in BBC2's Restoration programme tomorrow night.
Viewers will be able to vote for restoration work to be carried out on the 18th Century Gayle Mill, near Hawes.
Funding has been raised to convert the building into a learning centre but the North-East Civic Trust needs more cash to restore its 250- year-old water system, one of the oldest in existence.
Broadcaster Griff Rhys Jones, who presents Restoration, said he had enjoyed his visit to Gayle Mill.
He said: "I have never been in Wensleydale before and I am convinced this is the most beautiful place in the world."
The mill was built in 1776 as a cotton factory and harnessed the power of water flowing through the village for more than two centuries.
Restoration starts at 9pm on BBC2.
Viewers are being asked to vote for their favourites and the final judging to find the public's overall selection is scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 8.
