TALENTED teenager Laurie Scarth has won a place at a leading school for performing arts.
The 18-year-old, from Swinton near Malton, is taking a three-year BA (Hons) musical theatre degree at the Artsed College, in London.
She started ballet and jazz classes at the Kirkham Henry Performing Arts Centre, in Malton, when she was only three.
She has performed at York Theatre Royal and York Grand Opera House, and has been a member of Malton and Norton Operatic Society and Ryedale Youth Theatre.
