A TEENAGER who was injured in a car crash has died.
Samantha Parker, 17, from Redcar, east Cleveland, suffered multiple injuries after the 20-year-old driver lost control in Redcar Road, Marske, shortly before 1am on Monday.
Samantha, pictured, was a front seat passenger in a blue Renault Clio that crashed near Cat Flatt Lane. The accident happened after a right-hand bend as the car was travelling towards Marske.
She was taken to the James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, but was later pronounced dead.
The 20-year-old, who escaped with minor injuries, has been charged with death by dangerous driving. He is due to appear at Guisborough Magistrate's Court on Friday.
