CHRIS Westwood is looking forward to a different kind of footballing test tomorrow.

Westwood will be part of the Hartlepool United rearguard facing Lincoln in the first round of the FA Cup at Victoria Park.

He is well aware of the threat posed by The Imps' long-ball game and former Pool striker Marcus Richardson.

The gangly front man scored a last-gasp winner after coming on as a substitute against Northampton.

And Westwood, a teammate of Richardson during Pool's promotion campaign in the 2002-3 season, is looking forward to the task of helping his side in another FA Cup campaign.

"It's going to be a different test because I think their smallest player is about six foot and it's going to be tough.

"But we are going to go into it on the back of a win again,'' he said.

"Marcus will be coming back thinking he has a point to prove. Players like him are like that - but we know what he is all about though.

"Obviously we will know his strengths but he will know what we're about.

"It'll probably be a bit of mind games on the phone and then it's down to the game.

"I don't think he's been playing. He was injured and then he got suspended, but I think in a game like this then he's going to play.

"Apparently ex-players always come back to haunt you, so we'll see."

Westwood has had his yellow card from last week's game with Doncaster rescinded. The defender was booked after Micky Barron chopped down Gregg Blundell, but the caution has now gone against Barron.

Pool defender Ben Clark was sent home from training yesterday morning after complaining of feeling unwell.
