AN animal charity is looking for new homes for three deaf dogs.

Patch, Alf and Winston are three lovable rescue dogs at the Dogs Trust Darlington's Rehoming Centre, who all need homes.

They are "cuddly with fantastic personalities", but the shelter is struggling to find homes for them.

The reason they keep on being passed over is that they are all deaf or severely hard of hearing.

Despite their disabilities, the dogs would make good companions for anyone willing to spend time with them.

Sarah Shreeve, of the Dogs Trust Darlington, said: "These are fabulous dogs, they would make some people out there very happy as they have so much love to give. People often do not want to take on a deaf or hard-of-hearing dog, but if you have the time, commitment and patience to give them, you will be rewarded with a loving companion."

The dogs will be neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and will have six weeks' free insurance.

The trust will also offer advice to new owners when the dogs have been rehomed.

Anyone who can help Patch, Alf, Winston or any other dog is asked to call staff at the Dogs Trust Darlington on (01325) 333114.
