TWO Teesside bike enthusiasts have proved they can move swiftly through the gears to reach the top of their profession.
Guisborough-based mountain bike specialist Bike Scene has become the first UK cycle shop to employ bike technicians qualified to the Advanced Cycle Mechanics NVQ level 3.
Antony Wright, 25, and Richard Wilson, 28, both employed by the firm for more than five years, are the first bike mechanics to achieve this qualification.
Bike Scene manager Andrew Craggs said "New bike innovations and technology require a high level of technical knowledge and expertise from cycle technicians."
