A MAN has set up a group to spread the word about the dangers of climate change.
Peter Hale, of East Cowton, near Northallerton, North Yorkshire, has created Climate Concern UK an aim of which is to encourage people to reduce their energy consumption.
He has set up a website - www.climate-concern.com - and is trying to get funding through grants and donations to set up groups in other areas.
He said: "There are so many things we can do in our homes, workplace and schools, travel and leisure activities.
"I have wanted to get involved in campaigning about climate change for years and, after selling a business recently, have been able to spend more time setting things up and making contacts."
His efforts have won backing from Richmond MP William Hague, who applauded the activities of the group.
