A Darlington council officer is returning to her old job after touring the world.
Michelle Parkes returns to Darlington Borough Council as sponsorship manager. Ms Parkes held the post for three years before leaving in 2002 to travel around south-east Asia and Australasia with her partner, Steven Tulip.
She said: "It's great to be back in Darlington, I'm looking forward to building upon established working partnerships and creating new ones."
