Social housing contractor Frank Haslam Milan has set up a human resources department.
The department of three, led by manager Irene Liddle will concentrate on training and development.
Ms Liddle, who has spent nearly half her 13 years in the industry with the Sunderland company, was previously business support manager.
The other team members are Lyndsey Anderson and Yvonne Hann.
