Groups in West Redcar have received an early Christmas present thanks to the area's Community Chest.
Among the groups to receive grants are the Redcar and Cleveland Fun Activities Club, which has received £979 towards its Christmas party, £180 for the 9th Redcar Brownies Christmas party and transport to a pantomime, £968 for the Amateur Photographic Society towards a projector, £1,000 for Lakes Primary School for catering facilities, and £900 for Redcar Judo Club towards an Easter holiday programme and £975 for mats.
The scheme offers grants of up to £1,000.
