A MURAL depicting the different kinds of sustainable energy has been unveiled by young people in St Helen Auckland.

The artwork is the result of weeks of work that included talks with the Environment Agency and help from a resident artist.

The Sustainable Planet is a project young people who attend Millbank Impact, at St Helen Auckland, near Bishop Auckland, which is an alternative education project aimed at 14 to 16-year-olds at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream education.

The group explored all types of energy including windfarms and recycling before completing the artwork.
