POLICE on Teesside made nine arrests in a series of raids.
Yesterday's operation was codenamed Beat the Burglar and targeted prolific burglars in Billingham, near Stockton.
The arrests were made in connection to house burglary and drug-related crimes.
Detective Sergeant Steve Jermy said: "The arrests this morning show that we will continue to be relentless on our crackdown on criminal activity.
"Burglars are still getting in through insecure windows and doors. Please don't make it easy for thieves to get into your home."
