A FORMER pupil of Haughton Comprehensive School in Darlington, has won a prize after completing his basic Army training in Winchester.
Trooper Karl Bensley, aged 20, was judged best recruit in his intake.
He continues training in Dorset, before joining his regiment, The Light Dragoons, stationed at Swanton Morely in Norfolk.
