A NEW community kitchen is putting healthy eating at the top of the menu.
The kitchen, in Maidendale House Community Centre, Firthmoor, Darlington, has banned fried foods and fizzy drinks and is converting the community.
The emphasis will be on fresh fruit and vegetables and natural ingredients.
Chefs Tina Reay, Louise Atkin and Angela Rowntree have attended courses in healthy eating.
The kitchen is supported by Darlington Community Partnership and the primary care trust.
