PLANS to provide more breast-feeding services in Darlington town centre are being investigated.
Last year, the borough council received a £20,000 grant from the Centre for Public Scrutiny to carry out a review of services for nursing mothers.
The review group has been looking at an accreditation scheme for cafes and shops, to encourage them to provide facilities for mothers and babies.
The group organised a workshop on breastfeeding and returning to work at a conference hosted by Coventry City Council in January.
The group has made provisional arrangements to hold a similar event at the Dolphin Centre, in Darlington, on Tuesday, May 10 and Thursday, May 12.
