THREE students have been crowned chess champions.
Brother and sister Thomas and Emma Mavin and eight-year-old Dhruv Tapasvi came first in their categories at the Cleveland Chess Championships last weekend.
All three are pupils at Yarm Preparatory School. Thomas, pictured top, and Emma took the under-18 and under-11 titles respectively. Dhruv was crowned under-nines champion.
