PARENTS have been learning how to help their young children learn to talk.
SureStart Brandon and Deerness Valley ran a ten-week programme called Early Start to give mothers and fathers advice on how they can help their offspring develop communication skills.
The adults took lessons while their children enjoyed activity sessions.
There were also joint sessions.
SureStart, which aims to improve the opportunities and life chances of children in the area, hailed the scheme a success and held a graduation ceremony for the families that took part.
Programme manager Diane Jones said: "This programme was one of a number of new initiatives and activities that we have going on and the team were delighted to see local parents, families and carers attend.
