A CHARITY football match between two rivals aims to raise money for new machinery at a community hospital.
The Flesh Fleas, of Wolsingham, and the Clay Hogs, of Stanhope, will pitch their wits on the football field over Easter to pay for a patient monitoring machine for Wolsingham Community Hospital.
The machine comprises of a heart rate monitor and blood pressure gauge and costs about £4,000.
Anita Savory, the charity organiser, said: "It should bring a big crowd from Stanhope so we can show Wolsingham what we are made of.
"So the residents of Wolsingham won't want to let their side down."
Former football referee George Courtney will be there to make sure play is fair between the two rival teams.
There will also be a raffle and collections on the day.
The match will take place on Easter Sunday, on Wolsingham Recreation Field, Wolsingham, Weardale, starting at 11am.
