COUNCILLORS have agreed to plans for a car showroom and bodyshop that has been redesigned because a major sewer runs through the site.
Businessman Mathew Hardy had to alter the layout of Bridge Garage, on Aycliffe Industrial Estate, to ensure builders steer clear of the sewer.
Sedgefield Borough Council had already granted permission for a showroom, forecourt, access road and new frontage -and it last week approved the revised plans .
An access road from Jowett Way has been deleted and an existing filling station will close.
A showroom will be let as a rapid fit centre, facing Horndale Avenue.
