FILTRATIONS specialist PSI Global has won a £1m contract for a toxic gas safety system.
The group, in Bowburn, near Durham, has signed a three-year supply deal with Wessex Water Services, for its Chlorguard product.
The system, which will be used in 32 of Wessex's water treatment sites, provides a valve safety system that prevents the leakage of chlorine and other toxic gases.
Marketing manager Frank Whitfield said: "This latest contract is a clear indication of Wessex Water's determination to maintain a hazard-free environment for its operating staff, as well as eradicating any potential off-site risks to the public.
