A MODEL club and one of its members in particular, has been making a splash on Teesside.
Ernest Lazenby is the proud builder and owner of the only comprehensive collection of working models of world water record holders in the world.
His collection includes the Campbells' K3, K4 and K7 Bluebirds, Cobb's K6 Crusader and the current record holder, Spirit of Australia.
His racing boats were included in an exhibition of the work of the Darlington and District Model Boat Club, at Stockton Library yesterday.
There were also model warships, turbines, paddle steamers, paddle tugs and yachts on show, celebrating Stockton Council's 'Year of the Tees' initiative.
