A YOUNG cyclist was hit by a car at the weekend.
The six-year-old was riding along Gerrie Street, Boosbeck, east Cleveland, at about 6pm on Saturday, when he was in collision with a Peugeot 306, at the junction with High Street.
He was treated at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, for bumps and bruises, then allowed home.
