MARKET traders in Darlington received a visit by the national body which represents them yesterday.
The National Market Traders Federation was shown around the outdoor and covered markets by Councillor Stephen Harker, the borough council's cabinet member for consumer services.
Darlington has a daily indoor market and Monday and Saturday outdoor markets, as well as regular specialist markets including the monthly farmers' market and French markets.
Coun Harker said: "They were impressed particularly with the way the markets were managed and cared for."
