A TENNIS club is holding an open day to encourage people to try the sport.
Two coaches will be on hand at Thirsk Tennis Club on Sunday to give advice and tips to prospective players.
Treasurer Jon Gregory, said: "We want to increase membership and we would like more people in Thirsk to play tennis because we have great facilities here."
The event is free and takes place at Thirsk Tennis Club, which is in the middle of the racecourse, just off Newsham Road, from 2pm to 4pm.
