HOME security upgrades are available for residents over 60 through Darlington's Community Safety Partnership.
The offer is a joint project between the partnership's Neighbourhood Watch section and Help the Aged and is open to anyone with savings of less than £25,000.
The upgrade can include installation of smoke detectors, spy holes, door chains, mortice locks, mortice bolts and window locks.
Applications can be made direct to Help the Aged on 0191-384 2785 or to the partnership on (01325) 346832.
