POLICE are hunting burglars who escaped with £1,500 after breaking into a Durham fish warehouse.
Woodward Frozen Food, on the Abbey Industrial Estate, Pity Me, was broken into between 6pm last Friday and 6pm on Sunday when a passer-by heard the burglar alarm sounding.
The thief, or thieves, broke a window, found the key to the safe and removed the cash.
Anyone with information about the raid is asked to call PC Phil Ward at Durham City CID on 0845 60 60 365.
