AN organisation created to run sports facilities has been launched.
Richmondshire Leisure Trust celebrated its official kick-off with a fun day at Richmond Pool.
The trust will manage sports facilities owned by Richmondshire District Council and Richmond School.
The organisation will also work with partners to develop sport and recreation activities in the area.
As part of an ongoing partnership with Richmond School, art students were invited to enter a competition to design a new logo for the trust.
Fern Newton, 14, won first prize, beating 29 other talented young budding graphic designers.
She was presented with a gift voucher during the launch day celebrations last weekend.
