ACTRESS Lesley Joseph yesterday signed up to sponsor a charity worker in his attempt to complete this year's Great North Run.
The Birds of a Feather star - currently appearing in Thoroughly Modern Millie at Newcastle's Theatre Royal - has agreed to sponsor Brian Leithead in this year's race.
Mr Leithead, a business analyst for the British Red Cross, is taking part in the world's biggest half marathon to raise money for his employer. Ms Joseph, a regular supporter of the charity, was willing to help out.
Anyone interested in running the famous race for the British Red Cross is asked to ring 0191-273 7961 for a runners' pack.
