A NEW residents' association has had its first meeting to discuss community concerns.
Grove Residents' and Citizens' Association met on Wednesday, a session chaired by Vincent McArdle, secretary of the Derwentside Residents' Federation.
More than 30 people from the area attended and were eager to learn what could be done to develop the neighbourhood. They are making children's and young teen play areas and crime prevention their first goals.
The association will be supported by Derwentside District Council and will work with Durham Constabulary.
The next meeting is on Wednesday, June 29, at Selby Gardens Community Building, at 7pm.
