The Readers Durham County League: With only four points separating them at the top of the table the match of the day is between leaders Brandon and Esh Winning.

Brandon conceded their unbeaten record last Saturday but quickly bounced back to form on Monday. Esh Winning remain unbeaten although two of their games have been hit by the weather.

Brandon will no doubt hope for another exhilarating innings from Australian Jim Allenby, who has already racked up more than 500 runs. Their only change is the inclusion of Tim Edwards for Gary Brown, who is named in the second XI.

Esh Winning make one alteration with Chris Hurst taking over from his father Graham.

The latter could well be missed since he provided the anchor role when Esh claimed a last ball win against Willington on Monday.

Tudhoe are third ahead of their visit to Willington and Mainsforth. Mainsforth, who have suffered just one defeat in seven games and are fourth, make one change - Carl Dargue for Nigel Milner - also face Kimblesworth, who will field an unchanged XI.

Crook Town make three alterations to their line up for then visit of Langley Park.

Professional and captain Stephen Ball is unavailable, while Lee Morton and Lee Holloway play for the first time this season in the senior team.

David Hutchinson has recovered from injury but Andy Burgess and 17-year-old Lee Formosa cannot turn out.

Formosa is a promising quickie but the ECB directors prevent him from bowling more than six overs in a spell. He can return to the attack, however, 12 overs later.

Another promising Crook youngster 19-year-old Michael Fawcett claimed four wickets with his spinners in Monday's game at Tudhoe.

Shildon, who have lost all seven games, are at Ushaw Moor with Cameron Peace still out with a shoulder injury.

Christopher Lye, who has played in one cup game, makes his seasonal debut in the league now he has completed his football commitments.

Ushaw Moor are back to full strength with the inclusion of Stephen Hancock, Scott Nattrass and Peter McCormick.

Peter Lyall is absent from the Etherley line up and Shaun Rudd takes over for the home game with Evenwood, who have Neil Teesdale and Jonathan Gill coming in for Andy Poole and David Wilkinson.
