TWO middle-aged men have died in a hit and run incident on a North-East street.
The men, aged 52 and 46, were hit by a white BMW at around 10pm last night as they stood outside a bookmaker's office in Newcastle's West Road.
One of the men died shortly after the incident and the second died overnight in hospital.
A car was later recovered and is today being examined by forensic officers.
Two people have been arrested and are being questioned by police.
