THIS year's Great North Walk is only weeks away and time has almost run out to register.
The eight-mile scenic walk will take place in Weardale on Sunday, July 3, but people must register by close of play today to take part.
The route will take walkers through some magnificent scenery in Durham, and there is also a Wheels Friendly 1.5 mile route, for those who would prefer it.
The walk is organised by the British Heart Foundation, but walkers can also be sponsored by their own local charities.
Butterwick Hospice Care has sponsor forms available for anyone wanting to walk in aid of their local Butterwick Hospice.
Anyone wishing to enter the walk is asked to call (01388) 761558 today.
For Butterwick Hospice sponsor forms call Ray Laidler on (01642) 624231.
