SERVICE Network, an organisation which supports the region's professional and business service sector, has announced the appointment of a new board.

Three executives have been recruited and three members re-appointed.

In addition, MERYL DODD will continue as chairwoman, a position she has held since last July.

She is the managing director of Actif, a South Tyneside-based research consultancy.

PAUL SUTHERLAND has been appointed chairman of the marketing sector on the board. He has 14 years' marketing experience.

He will be supported by JACQUIE POTTS, from Marketwise Strategies, as deputy chairwoman.

AUDREY MACNAUGHTON, a director at Macnaughton Mcgregor, has been appointed chairwoman of the human resources and management consultancy.

She has more than ten years training and HR expertise and has previously worked at Newcastle Building Society and John Menzies.

She will be supported by MATT CAWOOD, from Matthew Reed Consulting, as deputy chairman.

MICHAEL McMEEKIN, chairman of the e-business sector, has more than 25 years experience in the IT industry.

He set up Wisdom IT Holdings after 21 years at SHL Systems House and Fujitsu.

He will be supported by SAVVAS PAPAGIANNIDIS, from Netceptions, as deputy chairman.

NEIL WARWICK has been re-appointed as chairman of Service Network's legal services sector.

He will be supported by GILL HUNTER, from Robert Muckle, as deputy chairwoman.

DAVID STREATHER has been re-appointed chairman of the finance professionals sector. He is a senior business development manager at Lloyds TSB for the northern region. The deputy chairman of this sector is GLEN CALLANDER, of Bibby Factors.

JOHN BURNS, with more than 30 years of industry experience, has been re-appointed chairman of the construction and property sector. A director at Mackellar Architecture, he also chairs the Constructing Excellence - North-East Best Practice Club and is vice-chairman of the Royal Institute of British Architects (North). He will be supported by PETER McGUCKIN, from Insite Environment, as deputy chairman.
