PARENTS on Teesside are being urged to register their young children for a play scheme this summer.
The Hartlepool Borough Council project will held on weekdays, from Monday, July 25, to Friday, August 19. It is open to children aged five to 11.
The play scheme will operate from the following four venues:
* Bridge Youth Centre, Burbank Street.
* Greatham Community Centre, High Street, Greatham
* Abbey Street Project, The Headland.
* Rossmere Youth Centre, Rossmere Way.
Tracy Liveras, from the council, said: "We have an excellent programme of activities this year, which includes visits to Washington Wildfowl Park, Hall Hill Farm, Hamsterley Forest and Nature's World, as well as the usual local attractions.
"Parents are being advised to pick up a registration pack because places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis and, once again, we are expecting a big demand."
For a registration pack, or for more information, contact the play development team on (01429) 523429 or 523471.
Alternatively, pick up a registration pack from the children's information service in the Civic Centre.
The playscheme will run from 9.30am to 4pm each day.
