The Readers Durham County League: There is no change at the top of the table with Esh Winning still out in front.

They were wary of their visit to Ushaw Moor who would have moved into third position had they won but Esh maintained the only unbeaten record with a five-wicket win. Travis Dowlin was the dangerman but just as he was in his stride Shariq Ahmed had him caught by Rizwan Quereshi after making a top-scoring 38.

Although there was limited resistance from Stephen Hancock, the home innings closed on 125 with Ahmed returning the creditable figures of five for 31.

Esh's reply started badly with David Lawlor and John Carmody quickly back in the pavilion but they had few fears so long as Quereshi (78) was at the wicket.

His third-wicket partnership with Michael Robson put Esh in the driving seat and a ninth win of the season was achieved.

Willington are second and they had seven wickets in hand of Etherley. Stephen Crane (78) hoisted the home side's total to 148 with Gary Cummings taking five wickets for just 40 runs. Karl Brown hit 74 for Willington.

Chris Slattery (35) formed a productive third-wicket stand with Brown and following his dismissal Darren Brown then partnered Karl Brown for the fourth wicket.

Brandon, who had a free day, remain third with Tudhoe fourth following their victory at Kimblesworth. Replying to a target of 182, the home side were in with a chance with New Zealander Andrew McKay at the wicket but when he was out for 43, the innings ended for only 147.

Teneto Willett returned five for 43 and Chris Glasper 3-36 after Tudhoe were all out for 181 when they batted first. Stephen Thompson (41) and Anthony Timmiss with 58 were the mainstay of the innings while in the Kimblesworth attack Lee Wright returned four for 24 and Nigel Darling 3-43.

Langley Park were all out for only 103 at Hylton. Brian Conlin, Owen Williamson and Darren Walton all took three wickets and Hylton gained a four-wicket victory.

Evenwood had seven wickets in hand of Shildon who were back in the pavilion with only 85 runs on the board. Billy Teesdale (6-39) and John Maughan (4-40) shared the attack and although Shildon captured three wickets, the home side were untroubled.

Mainsforth and Crook Town were involved in a high-scoring game which the former won by just 12 runs. Mainsforth openers Gary Purcell (49) and David Fishburn (48) laid the foundations for a total of 205 for seven.

There was an early blow for the visitors before Ball and Neil Davis (34) raised hopes. Burgess maintained the momentum with 41 but Richard Manuel changed the course of the innings making 58 before being run out and at the end of the 45 overs, Crook were 193 for eight.
