A STUDENT who overcame health problems to complete his studies has been honoured at an awards ceremony.
Raymond Gransbury was named Derwentside College's Student of the Year at a ceremony held at Consett's Empire Theatre last week.
He was presented with his award by Tom Crompton, executive director of County Durham Learning and Skills Council.
Raymond was one of 39 students to be honoured at the ceremony.
