A TOWN'S former mayor has shared out the proceeds of her charity campaign.
Former Ferryhill Town Council Mayor Christine Woods presented £1,800 to the Great North Air Ambulance and Ferryhill Town Band.
The money was raised through a series of events during Councillor Woods' year in office including a dinner, a night at the Surtees Arms and a football auction.
Dave Farry, of West End Post Office, donated cash raised at the opening of the post office and money was raised at the Great North Walk.
Current Mayor Julie Bainbridge will spend her year in office raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness, All Saints' Day Centre and SureStart, Ferryhill.
