THE fight against anti-social behaviour in Darlington has taken another step forward with the creation of a new team.
The three-member team will protect communities from bad behaviour and support residents who suffer abuse.
Created by Darlington Borough Council, members will work alongside 11 uniformed wardens.
They will also support the work of the early intervention service, which works with young people who risk becoming involved in crime.
The team will also provide direct support to victims and witnesses.
Two environmental enforcement officers will be appointed to deal with environmental crimes, such as graffiti.
