A FERRY passenger has disappeared during a North Sea crossing.

Police are keen to speak to passengers on the Princess of Scandinavia, who may have seen 51-year-old Glyn Keatinge during its journey from Gothenburg to North Shields at the weekend.

Mr Keatinge, who lives with his partner in the hamlet of Red Row, in Northumberland, was travelling alone when the cruise ship left North Shields, heading for Sweden, on June 30.

He is known to have been on board during the return journey, having spoken to crew members on Sunday, but he did not disembark when the vessel docked on Tyneside in the early hours of Monday.

A search of Mr Keatinge's cabin discovered that his personal possessions, including his wallet, passport, mobile phone and car keys, were still on the vessel.

Police investigating his disappearance are keen to hear from any passengers who saw him on the ship.

Anyone with information is asked to ring police on 0191-214 6555 ext 63145.
